BIZcon is all about informing business leaders about significant trends and developments in business.  It’s to bring to the forefront how technology in business will impact your organisation and market sector which is critical to your achievement and maintaining leadership for your business and shareholders.

The theme of the May 2010 edition of BIZcon is “Understand and Leverage Open Source” and focuses on senior C-level executives (CEO, CIO, COO, CFO, CTO…). Our goal is to ensure that delegates understand how Open Source works in the business environment, the potential for integrating Open Source with Closed Source applications already used in the business environment ensuring the bottom line isn’t impacted in bringing the business sector up to speed on your needs within your budgets. Open Source has a lower outlay and the benefit of your technical staff being able to change the application themselves to meet your future needs.

Those following the topic will know that we are on the tail end of another hype cycle, but concurrently we have begun to see strong Open Source alternatives that point to exciting applications.
